avatar I used to be skinny, now I am 5'7" and weigh almost 200 pounds and am all muscle. The best advice I can give you is to eat a lot of protein, about gram per pound that you weigh and also work out like an animal!

I agree, it is all about the intensity. For example you see chubby out of shape people standing around talking at the gym I work out at. Meanwhile all of the fit people and muscle heads are all business straight to the point and hitting it hard. Why go to the gym if you are just going to stand around and talk?

Protein Shakes worked for me, but make sure that you drink at least two a day, probably three on days you are lifting. I would also recommend taking two week off after every two months to let your body repair and rebuild, you can really bulk up quickly if you do it that way.

avatar I think Protein shakes are the expensive way to go. I would recommend a lot of tuna fish. Great protein for your body.

Chicken is also great it is probably the best thing for putting on weight. I read somewhere it was and it helps me bulk up more than beef by far. There are so many different ways to cook it just be sure to pick up toothpicks if you are going on a mostly chicken diet, when you eat chicken three time a day you will be happy you got the toothpicks. :)

avatar Chicken is great to put on weight, you are right. I don't know what it is about chicken but it works.

What makes chicken so good for gaining lean muscle is the fact that it is lean protein meaning there is not a lot of fat that comes along with it. If you eat a lot of beef you will gain muscle, but you will also gain fat too that you will have to burn off.
